B.G. Celebrates 43rd Birthday As He Awaits Prison Release

B.G. has celebrated what he and his fans hope will be his last birthday spent in prison amid news of the rapper’s imminent release from federal custody.

The rap star, who turned 43 years-old on Sunday (Sept. 3), took to Instagram to share his latest life milestone while confirming that he’ll be returning to the streets after thirteen years behind bars.

“After 12 winters and 13 summers, I see the end zone,” he wrote in the post, which included various pictures showing off his newly chiseled physique. “It’s my last #Birthday being buried alive. This year I’m celebrating the whole Virgo cycle, matter of fact, from this year forward I’m living and celebrating like everyday is #MyBIRTHDAY.”

However, B.G. makes it clear he’s dedicated to turning his life around and capitalizing on his latest chance at freedom and building generational wealth. “The main focus, is to stay focused,” he acknowledged.

“I’m not letting nobody rob me of my productivity, prosperity, positivity, and peace of mind. My dreams then got bigger and my vision is clearer. 13 years was more than enough time for me to change the reckless path I was on. I’m getting back in the 100MillionDolla race, and my big homie gave me the route. #RNS.”

News of B.G.’s pending release from prison first surfaced in late August, with The Jasmine Brand reporting that the former Hot Boys member was coming home shortly. Upon his release, he will be serving out his three-year “probationary period” as part of his remaining sentence.

In 2009, B.G. was arrested during a traffic stop after three firearms were discovered in a vehicle he was traveling in, two of which were stolen. In 2011, he entered a guilty plea on two counts of possession of a firearm and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice, receiving a 14-year federal prison sentence.
